Common Questions and Answers
How are birthdays celebrated?
Due to our district's wellness policy, no food items may be brought in for birthdays. If you would still like to send something in: pencils, highlighters, etc are acceptable. We also love donations to our classroom
library in your child's name.
What should I do if my child is absent?
This year our district is using a standard form for absences and early dismissals. An excuse must accompany your child on the day he/she returns to school. Forms are available on the LL website. It is not necessary to call and inform me of an absence, unless it is a long period of time. If your child is absent for 3 or more days, please call me so that I prepare and send work home that was missed.
What if there is a change in the way my child should come home from school?
Please send in all changes in a written note form. Students that do not have note will be sent home the usual way. If you are requesting that your child ride a different bus in the a.m. or p.m., you must contact the Transportation Coordinator (Sandy Dobrowolski, 255-2719) or complete a Transportation Request Form. Homemade notes or verbal messages requesting bus changes will not be accepted. Theses procedures are in effect to ensure the busses do not exceed the allowable student capacity.
