Homework Policy

 

Parents/Guardians, please CHECK and SIGN your child's homework log each night! I require that you either sign or initial the homework log each day, even if there is no homework.  Homework is important for reinforcing skills learned in class. If we work together, skills learned should be retained. Thank you!

**HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS ARE GRADED!
Homework assignments are NOT graded by how many questions/problems are correct or incorrect. They are graded as to whether or not the student completed the assignment.

 

 Students will start the marking period with 100 points (100%) per subject for homework. If they fail to turn in a homework assignment on its due date, they will lose 2 points on their overall grade (100 points). For example, if they missed 3 homework assignments in the first marking period, that would be 6 points off of the total of 100 points. This would make their homework grade 94 points and 94%. 

**HOMEWORK WILL BE LISTED ON CLASS WEBSITE (under Homework) AND STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO COPY DOWN NIGHTLY ASSIGNMENTS INTO HOMEWORK LOG DAILY.

**Homework passes may be used. There is a list of acceptable homework pass uses posted in our room. If a homework pass is used, students will still receive full credit for doing that assignment. 

***Homework passes can also be used as 3 extra credit points on tests!
